We are delighted to offer on behalf of one of our customers this truly beautiful Austin Healey 100/6 BN4 2+2 in its original Ivory White, and Red leather interior. The current owner purchased this car over 40 years ago and it is in wonderful condition and on the button.
Whilst an older restoration conducted during the nineties, it has been incredibly well looked after since that point and presents as if it were restored last year. Clearly the work was carried out to a very high standard and it has done just 6,000 miles since that time. It is currently reading 34095 miles in total and whilst not verified the history suggests this could be the total mileage from day one.
This Healey is also one of the first models from 1957 with the 6-cylinder engine and was likely produced at the Longbridge plant before production moved to Abingdon.
Its Heritage Certificate confirms its production on 9th April 1957 with optional extras including Heater and Laminated Windscreen. Overdrive was added later as part of the restoration.
This Healey comes with a great history including its original bill of sale, invoices and maintenance records with Classic Car Market.
The paint is wonderful and has been well applied presenting with deep shine. There are some minor chips however these could easily be attended too. The brightwork is generally excellent, there is some minor dulling on the headlight surrounds but that is being picky with nothing needing replacement.
As ever with these Healeys the interior is just a lovely place to be. The dash and leather is perfect showing little signs of wear except one point on the driver’s seat causing by a selt belt rub. This can be corrected. Overall the seats, instruments and carpet are just lovely and compliment the outstanding presence this car has.
Thanks to the 6-cylinder engine with just oodles of torque and double SU carburettors, this Healey is just magnificent to drive. We have been totally taken with it over the last weeks. Out on the road the engine note is intoxicating and it has so much ‘go’.
A red hood comes with the car and looks like it has never been on. Side screens are also present. Fresh tyres and battery are recent additions making this ready to go with nothing to do.
This is a very beautiful Austin Healey which ticks all the boxes and for the price is great buying. We are sure it will deliver many smiles to the new owner for years to come.
